http://guitardrumlessons.blogs... - Soul Sacrifice (Woodstock 1969)Incredible drum solo by 20 yr old boy Micheal Shrieve! **Probably the greatest rock live performace of all time. This song still is one of my favorite clips of all time. Every player in this act was a triple AAA player from head to toe. Carlos Santana himself was peaking from LSD when he as playing this song LOL

I Googled Micheal Shrieve last night to find out who he was. Born July 6, 1949, in San Francisco is an American drummer, percussionist, and later, an electronic music composer. He is best known as the drummer in Carlos Santana's eponymous band, playing on their first eight albums from 1969 through 1974.[1] His performance at the 1969 Woodstock festival, when he was just 20 years old, made him one of the youngest musicians to perform at the festival. It won't all fit here. Google him, Cool.

@belladepadella4 That is a pretty broad sweaping statement! Many of the musicians from that time are still alive including the great Santana. There are many awesome musicians alive and playing today everywhere you just need to have to look around like what TerrariumFusilage1 said.

That being said this is one of my altime fav drum solos ever. Second maybe to John Bonham doing Moby Dick. And maybe some of The Grateful Dead's drum segments. But it turned me on to Santana when I saw it in the movie for the first time. Fucking incredible.

@belladepadella4 There was shitty music back then too haha. There's plenty of amazing musicians like this today also, tho. You just gotta know where to look.
