I've falled in love with this instrument. I prefer it to the sitar. Although it takes it out of the tradition, this would be fantastic for jazz.

The Veena is of the socalled 'Srasvati Veena' type. It is made in Thanjavur (or Tanjore) by traditional makers of the instument with selected types of wood. It is available in a few musical instruments shops of Chennai, Bangalore, etc.
