Moving sculpture can be a hit and miss affair but BMW's kinetic ball sculpture is pretty cool to look at, even if the accompanying muzak makes you want to (a) fall asleep or (b) blow your brains out. As odd as the BMW Bat Car concept , but actually real. This sculpture takes pride of place at the newly opened BMW Museum in Munich and boasts 740 metallic balls floating in the air in an orchestrated manner, creating waves and swirls - think Magneto's deadly floating balls in Xmen 2 just without the whole killing everyone in sight bit. From the plain rising and falling in waves, there's a sweet car shape thrown in at the end - well, this is BMW we're talking about. - Martin Lynch [Adam Schwabe]
