There was a time when men felt the need to buy snooker tables for their damp basements but, now that the recession is upon us, a little downsizing might be in order. The Aurora LED Pool Table takes that old pub favourite and throws some LEDs into the mix to make it somewhat more tacky than the real thing. Still, the makers say it plays like the real deal, claiming it is "specially designed to replicate the play found on a commercial pub style British pool table". The slate base though has been swapped out for the less traditional, but lighter and cheaper, MDF. The dimensions are the same as a commercial pool table, as are the pockets, rims and blue cloth. And, let's not forget the 'cool blue' LED lighting for that floodlit effect. It also has a reversible top cover that allows you to turn it into a card table top and there's a 'holster' at the end for storing pool cues. OK, we're sold on the holster bit.
